How to check CPU information in Linux
Check the CPU model, socket, core, and thread counts, and NUMA layout with lscpu and /proc/cpuinfo.
See what CPUs the machine has: model, sockets, cores per socket, threads, and NUMA nodes. lscpu is the summary; /proc/cpuinfo is the per-logical-CPU detail.
# Summary: sockets, cores, threads, NUMA
lscpu
# Logical CPU count
nproc
# Per-CPU detail
cat /proc/cpuinfo
# NUMA memory layout (needs numactl)
numactl --hardwareLinuxlscpuCPU
