How to map logical volumes to disks in Linux
Map the LVM tree from logical volumes down to physical disks with lsblk and lvs -o +devices.
Trace which physical disks back a logical volume. lsblk shows the whole tree; lvs with +devices names the underlying PVs per LV.
# Whole block-device tree, including LVM
lsblk
# Which physical devices each LV sits on
sudo lvs -a -o +devices
# Which VG a physical volume belongs to
sudo pvs -o pv_name,vg_name,pv_size,pv_free
# Segments of an LV across PVs
sudo lvs -o +seg_pe_ranges <vg>/<lv>LinuxLVMlsblk
